What was it?

#CREATEOURFUTURE was a one-night event in fabulous Los Angeles, California. Urban Outfitters and Adidas teamed up to celebrate their We The Future campaign featuring a night of lights, immersive art, and performances from acts such as Phantogram, River Tiber, Remy Banks, and Andre Power.

What Was the Challenge?

For this job I collaborated with the folks over at DotDotDash as a TouchDesigner developer to build a real-time media ingestion pipeline between two rooms located in the Mack Sennett Studios. One of the studio rooms boasted a 70’ x 30’ curved stage wall that we were to map with projections featuring user-customized content, branded content, and VJ visuals.

The other room was dedicated to housing an immersive VR/AR experience. Designers and creatives featured in the Adidas + Urban Outfitters “We The Future” campaign were invited to have their 3D portrait taken. They’d put on a headset to view their portrait in 3D space and then doodle on themselves, inspiring energy and art.

After finishing their portraits the We The Future creatives would enter the performance space and see their portraits jamming behind acts such as Phantogram.
